We have been asked by a couple of clients if its possible to open a new window from Windows7 taskbar without having to hold Shift+Click.
In Win7 Microsoft have removed the quick launch buttons and the new stacked icons will just pop up (focus) an existing open window should you click them, if you want to open a NEW window you can press Shift and click together.
If you want to open another window without Shift+Click and have a mouse with a scroll wheel, try pressing the scroll wheel with the cursor over the icon, so to open a new window just like older versions of windows with quick launch, simply click your scroll wheel instead of left click.
